I was trying to implement a nice dynamic overlay that would blur the screen behind it and basically be a quick modal dialog that could be triggered from one of the bottom tab buttons.

But each button requires a screen making this impossible (afaik)

Could a "screenless" button that is simply a receiver for events ever be supported?
